Repeaters were first added to the game in May 2020.
How do I acquire a Repeater?
You can unlock a Repeater once you have collected enough Tokens for it. Repeaters will require 100 Tokens to unlock it. Tokens are shown on the summary page for a locked Repeater and are indicated with a green octagon shape.
Once a Repeater is unlocked you'll then be able to earn Cards to upgrade them.
Where can I earn Tokens?
Tokens currently are only awarded through Leaderboard Rewards.
The number of Tokens you can earn depends on your placement in your Event Leaderboard! Tap 'Leaderboard Rewards' at the bottom of your Event Leaderboard.
How are Repeaters different from Characters and Businesses?
Regular Characters give a profit bonus in either speed or Cash multipliers to Businesses. Repeaters give you a resource, based on time. Resources can vary (such as Buds, Cards or Gems) and so can the time. Think of them like a different version of Zeke's Chest, you can collect from them every X period, with no effort on your part!
How do I collect from a Repeater?
Just like collecting Cash from a non-automated Business, just tap on the icon above the Repeater on your farm.
How do I upgrade a Repeater?
Once unlocked they're like any other Character - listed on your Character Collection screen, and upgraded with Cards (NOT Tokens) and Buds.
What do I do with Tokens after unlocking the Repeater?
Excess Tokens will convert to cards at a 5:1 ratio automatically. You can then start earning Cards to upgrade them from Leaderboard Rewards.
What are the benefits of upgrading a Repeater?
Upgrading will either reduce the amount of time before you collect, or increase the amount of resource you can collect!
I can't collect from my repeater(s)!
Repeaters are like Zeke's Chests - they require a strong internet connection in order to collect from them.
You'll want to try out the following things to help with this:
- reboot your device (turn it off/back on, reconnect to WiFi and load up the game)
- reboot your router (unplug your router for 30 seconds, plug back in, reconnect to WiFi and load up the game)
- connect to a different WiFi or switch to data
If you're still having some troubles after trying these things out, let us know the type of device you're playing on and the current OS.
